Missing California

I have been meaning to post about our trip for a few weeks now. When we got back the Parade of Homes started and I have not found time to post. So, here it is. We had a wonderful time. It was so great to see old friends. The first day we were there we went to our friends Jane and Jon's house. It was so great to see where they lived. I had pictured it many times from Jane's descriptions. It was nothing like I had imagined. We were able to spend the afternoon with them. They made us a delicious dinner and we ate out in the backyard and enjoyed the beautiful weather. After spending the day with them we headed to our hotel. The next day was our first at Disneyland. We had a blast. Haley was in heaven. That night we met our friends Michelle and Dave for dinner. Then were able to go see their house after dinner. It was such a blessing to get time with them. We stayed up way too late even though Michelle had to catch an early flight the next day to Dallas. The next day we spent at Disneyland again. We went to the new california adventure park at Disneyland. I enjoyed this new addition as it had many roller coasters. Unfortunately, I had to go by myself. No one would brave the roller coaster that went upside down with me. I loved every minute of it by myself. The next day we decided to go to Santa Monica and shop the promenade. We were going to venture to the beach, but it was windy and cold that day. Jane met us for lunch on the promenade. It was great to have more time with her. Once we were done with shopping we decided to head to Hollywood. We went to Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. Then we headed to Hollywood. We had a great day exploring. The next day was our last day at Disneyland. We picked a few rides we wanted to revisit and called it a day. Haley of course had to go meet all the princesses. We headed back the next day to Kansas City where we spent the weekend celebrating my cousins confirmation in the Catholic church.

It was a great trip. I wish it didn't have to end. Since we have been back we have been super busy with the Parade of Homes. This is our last weekend and so far despite the rain and weather it has been successful. Once the parade is over Howie and I can focus more on building our new home and getting more settled in Wichita. It is hard to believe we have almost been here for a year. I feel like we just moved. We know that God has great plans for us here even though we greatly miss our friends from Kansas City. We are excited to see all He has in store.

Crazy Times

Howie's little brother Jonathan has been visiting for the past week for his spring break. Sadly, he heads back to Oregon tomorrow morning. We wish that he lived close to us!!! So, Howie is taking a trip to KC tomorrow to drop him off at the airport. The fam is also leaving tomorrow to head to San Fransisco to visit family. We will have the house to ourselves for a week. Then we will head to KC to catch a flight to L.A. and meet up with the fam. When we get to L.A. we will be meeting up with our dear friends Jane and Jon Pryor and Michelle and David Guyer!!!! We are so excited to see our friends! Then we will be heading to Disney Land with Miss Haley! She is about to burst with excitement that she is going to meet the princesses. Then we will head back to KC after 5 days in Cali to celebrate my cousin being confirmed in the Catholic Church. Once we get back to Wichita we will rush into parade of homes. I am exhausted just typing all that is coming up. But so excited to enjoy ever minute and hopefully sell some houses during parade. Like I said it is never boring and there is always something exciting going on. I will blog when we get back in town.

Entering the world of Blogging

Thanks to my girlfriends from college I have entered the world of blogging. They set up a blog for us to all stay in touch. I am now addicted. So, I thought it would be fun to set one up for Howie and I. So, when I have time to get on I will be updating the blog on our life. Not sure who will be on to read about our lives, but if you do I hope you enjoy. It is always interesting.
